Okaka said about the goal that it was a nice goal and he is happy with it. Okaka made this goal at the 76th-minute when Rodrigo Taddei headed the ball to him. He added, “We didn’t start well and I had some problems early on as I hadn’t played for a while, but it was an important goal and we won in the end.”

20-year-old Okaka born to Nigerian parents is usually praised by his team-mates after he got the not from Claudio Ranieri, his coach. Okaka said that the goal that he made was for his fellow players as well as for the team and for him also. He added that he has a committed responsibility and good relationship with all his team-mates. All the team-mates want Okaka to do well and he is glad when he repays their efforts by such goals. Okaka also told to the media that he is gaining more confidence and so more goals is to come in future.

The winner of Okaka came just 8-minute after John Arne Riise drove in a long shot, which took two deflections off the players of Fulham. The second deflection was of his brother Bjorn Helge Riise.

Referring to the 49th-minute red card for foul on Daniele De Rossi, Okaka admitted that he think the sending-off of the player in fact changed the game.

Okaka happy

Sunday 1 March 2009 @ 7:08 pm

Stefano Okaka Chuka has ended scotched rumours of a possible transfer to the Premier League and told us he is happy right now!

The Italian forward has been linked with several English sides, including Manchester City, but he has reiterated that he has could happily play out the rest of his career there.

“I would like to do that. I always say that and at times I think people do not listen to me,” Okaka told La Vanguardia.

“You know, I love this city. However hard it was last year, the people in the street were always encouraging me.

“I enjoy the life here and the food is great too.”

“Brescia is another story. When you come here from nowhere and there are so many people it is very surprising.”

Stefano is a big admirer of coach and believes the Brescia coach’s approach is instrumental in the club’s success this season.

“He does not become angry for the sake of it. He is a winner and he only thinks about winning games. I have never had coaches that like to scream and shout,” the Italian international explained.

“The coach shows his annoyance, but in a good way. He has a good reason for it and everyone listens because he speaks clearly. His messages sink in.”

Stefano at Brescia

Sunday 8 February 2009 @ 1:15 am

The Giallorossi have reportedly completed the loan-transfer of youth product Okaka to Serie B side Brescia.

19-year-old striker Stefano Okaka Chuka has joined Brescia on loan until the end of the season.

Okaka started the game with Reggina yesterday afternoon, as the Lupi were without captain Francesco Totti, Brazilian hitman Julio Baptista and Montenegrin international Mirko Vucinic.

Roma were held 2-2 at the Stadio Granillo and Okaka put in a commendable performance, but the move to Triestina was already in the pipelines and was finalised this morning.

Okaka had a positive loan spell at Modena last term and was brought back to base last summer; however, he has mustered only nine appearances so far this term, two of which have been starts.

It was reported earlier that Okaka would join Triestina, but it now appears that his destination will be Brescia.

“It would be a loan deal, but that doesn’t necessarily mean we are going to lose one of the strikers we have at the moment.”
